Ever learned about something and thought, “Okay, but how does this feel in my body?” That’s the gap this episode fills. If last week’s episode offered the framework for resourcing, titration, and pendulation, this week is the practical invitation. Amanda guides you through a real-time practice to help you experience each of these trauma-informed tools—so you can start to build nervous system awareness, flexibility, and safety from the inside out.

Last week, Amanda broke down the somatic healing framework intellectually. This week, she helps you drop into it experientially. That shift—from thinking about regulation to actually feeling it—makes a difference. It’s how your system learns safety through experience, not just information.
The practice starts by helping you connect to something that brings comfort or calm: a memory, an image, a sensation, a place. This is your resource—your internal anchor. Amanda prompts listeners to notice how their body responds when they’re connected to this sense of safety.
Next, listeners are gently invited to shift their attention toward a mildly uncomfortable sensation or emotion. Amanda emphasizes small doses. No overwhelm. You observe, not dive in. This helps the body start to learn: I can touch this discomfort and still be okay.
Then comes the practice of moving back and forth—between the safety of your resource and the discomfort of activation. Back and forth. Resourcing, then titrating. This intentional oscillation supports your system in building resilience and fluidity, rather than getting stuck in either stress or shutdown.
Amanda closes the practice by validating each listener’s experience. Maybe this felt grounding and supportive. Maybe it didn’t. Either way, you’re not doing it wrong. Healing is deeply personal, and different systems need different tools. The goal of this episode isn’t to get it “right.” It’s to introduce you to what’s possible when you move from learning about the nervous system to learning through it.
